Senior Manager / Manager – Fund Valuation & Credit Risk Specialist

Role Overview

We are seeking experienced fund valuation and credit risk professionals to support a high-intensity review of credit and counterparty risk exposures. The role focuses on the assessment of complex financial instruments, distressed assets, and fair value models under regulatory and accounting frameworks.

This position involves close collaboration with an on-site mission team and requires strong analytical, regulatory, and quantitative expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess exposures to private credit, capital call financing, and subscription financing structures

• Review and challenge fair value assessments of funds and their underlying assets (including loans and real estate)

• Evaluate balance sheet positions and risk management practices related to credit risk distribution and securitisation

• Review and assess IFRS 9 models, including staging, provisioning, and key assumptions

• Analyse fair value models for distressed debt and loans with payment-in-kind features

• Apply a range of inspection techniques such as data validation, walkthrough testing, targeted interviews, and sampling

Required Skills & Experience

• In-depth expertise in fund valuation and fair value assessment

• Strong experience valuing distressed debt instruments

• Proven knowledge of fair value models for loans, including payment-in-kind structures

• Advanced understanding of prudential regulation (CRR, CRD, EBA guidance, ECB guidance on non-performing loans)

• Strong working knowledge of IFRS 9, including quantitative model review

• Demonstrated quantitative and analytical skills
