Manager, Business Development & Licensing – Antibody Therapeutics

Role Summary

A fast-growing biotechnology organization with advanced antibody discovery and preclinical platforms is seeking a Business Development & Licensing manager to support out-licensing, co-development, and strategic partnerships across multiple therapeutic areas, including immunology, oncology, neurology, cardiovascular, and metabolic diseases.

This role blends deep scientific expertise with commercial and strategic responsibility, offering direct involvement in the evaluation, structuring, and execution of external partnerships while working closely with global cross-functional teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and advance external partnership opportunities, including out-licensing and co-development transactions

  • Develop and present business cases for prioritized opportunities, including strategic rationale, assumptions, risks, and value drivers

  • Lead external opportunity discussions with minimal supervision

  • Drive cross-functional due diligence and alliance management, coordinating with R&D, CMC, Clinical, Regulatory, Operations, and Finance

  • Manage BD transaction processes including proposals, term sheets, negotiations, deal execution, and post-deal alliance management

  • Contribute to business development and licensing strategy aligned with corporate and portfolio objectives

  • Represent the organization at industry, investor, and partnering conferences and maintain senior-level external relationships


Qualifications

  • PhD in pharmacology, immunology, cancer biology, or related biomedical discipline

  • Strong background in antibody drug discovery, including target validation and hit-to-lead optimization

  • Ability to interpret complex biological and preclinical data and translate it into a compelling therapeutic and licensing narrative

  • Familiarity with modern antibody modalities (e.g., monoclonal antibodies, bispecifics, ADCs)

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to align internal platforms to external partner pipeline needs

  • Bilingual Mandarin and English required to support global scientific and commercial collaboration
