We are supporting a search for a Vice President within an Internal Audit function at a globally recognized financial institution. This individual will play a key role in leading and executing risk-based audit engagements across capital markets and financing-related business areas, partnering with senior stakeholders, and contributing to the evolution of audit practices within a large, complex environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee full-lifecycle audit engagements, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations and internal risk standards.
• Assess the effectiveness of governance, risk management, and control frameworks across front-to-back business processes.
• Deliver insightful, data-driven findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Participate in and influence annual risk assessments and audit planning activities.
• Monitor evolving market trends, regulatory developments, and emerging risks to inform coverage.
• Support, mentor, and review the work of junior audit professionals.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years if experience within capital markets, investment banking, or trading-related environments (audit or non-audit control functions).
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Prior internal audit experience or relevant experience from risk, finance, product, or control-oriented roles within financial services.
• Ability to manage multiple deliverables in a fast-paced, stakeholder-driven environment.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of regulatory expectations relevant to markets and wholesale financial activities.
• Exposure to data analytics tools or automated testing approaches.
• Professional certifications (CPA, CFA, CIA, CISA, FRM, or similar)
