Location: Remote (US) with monthly travel to the San Francisco Bay Area

The Opportunity:
The client is seeking a Compliance Licensing Lead to act as the bridge between customers, compliance personnel, regulators, and product teams. This is a highly visible role that combines regulatory expertise with product influence, making it ideal for someone who thrives in a startup environment and wants to play a pivotal role in building next-generation compliance solutions.

The right person will be both customer-centric and product-minded: someone who can translate complex regulatory requirements into clear, actionable steps for clients while also feeding that insight back into the development of new products and features.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary point of contact for customers on licensing and renewal processes.
• Represent the customer’s perspective in product meetings, helping shape the roadmap.
• Partner with engineering to design solutions that improve the compliance journey.
• Build and maintain relationships with state regulators.
• Serve as the internal compliance subject-matter expert, staying current with evolving licensing regulations.
• Embrace the startup environment by contributing across multiple functions as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

• Prior experience in compliance roles, specifically with state regulatory licensing. (Crypto licensing experience is a strong plus.)
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to simplify complex regulatory concepts.
• Collaborative mindset and proven ability to work cross-functionally with engineering/product teams.
• Entrepreneurial problem-solver who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
• Comfortable managing multiple projects at once and adapting to new challenges.
